Kimberly-Clark buys Kenvue in $48.7 billion deal - kimberly-clark acquisition
Kimberly-Clark’s CEO, Mike Hsu, described the acquisition as a landmark step in the company’s 154-year history.

Kimberly-Clark has completed its $48.7 billion purchase of Kenvue, uniting two major consumer health companies under one corporate umbrella. The transaction brings together Kenvue’s beauty and health brands, such as Neutrogena, Aveeno, OGX, and Listerine, with Kimberly-Clark’s existing personal care lines, including Kleenex, Huggies, and Kotex. This acquisition marks Kimberly-Clark’s first significant foray into the beauty sector, broadening its focus beyond hygiene and infant care.

The deal follows Kenvue’s 2023 separation from Johnson & Johnson, which also included brands like Tylenol, Benadryl, and Nicorette. The merged company now operates in four global regions: North America, Asia-Pacific (encompassing Greater China, Australia, South Korea, and Indonesia), Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA), and enterprise markets (covering Latin America, India, Southeast Asia, and Japan).

Kimberly-Clark’s CEO, Mike Hsu, described the acquisition as a landmark step in the company’s 154-year history. He highlighted the combined entity’s ability to provide science-backed, high-quality solutions across daily care needs, from baby products to skincare. The integration addresses what Hsu called an urgent need to serve more consumers worldwide, especially as demand for health and beauty products rises.
