The 78th Emmy Awards brought Hollywood’s biggest small-screen stars together Monday night, and the red carpet did not disappoint. From textured updos to soft, lived-in waves, attendees served plenty of hair inspiration.
Zendaya’s Modern Pixie
Celebrity hairstylist Coree Moreno reimagined a classic pixie for Zendaya, aiming for a modern, editorial look. Moreno used the ghd Speed and ghd Sculpt tools to create a sleek silhouette with airy texture and controlled height through the crown.
To achieve the grip and separation key to this style, Moreno used göt2b glued 2-in-1 Spray Wax and göt2b glued Blasting Freeze Spray.
Sarah Pidgeon’s Sun-Kissed Beach Blonde
Celebrity colorist Kari Hill transitioned Sarah Pidgeon’s blonde into a warmer, sun-kissed shade for the Emmys. Hairstylist Christian Wood created soft, barely-there waves to complement her Chanel gown.
Wood prioritized hair health, using K18 products like the TripleBright Purple Shampoo and Molecular Repair Mask. He finished the look by smoothing Molecular Repair Hair Oil over the waves and combing them out with a wide-tooth comb for added polish.
The Emmy Awards red carpet often sets beauty trends for the upcoming year, with celebrities and their stylists pushing creative boundaries.

Jessica Williams charmed with old Hollywood waves and a piecey, side-swept bang, while Emmy Rossum showcased voluminous, glossy natural curls. Florence Pugh opted for a high, artfully undone bun with impressive volume and tousled texture.
Ayo Edebiri’s hairstylist, Jacob Aaron Dillon, created a softly textured bun to showcase her dress’s details. He used OGX Bond Protein Repair Sealing Serum and finished with a Nourishing + Coconut Oil Weightless Hydrating Oil Mist for shine.
Mariska Hargitay’s Sultry Waves
The evening’s host with the most hit the red carpet with sultry, voluminous waves courtesy of celebrity hairstylist Adir Abergel. He used the newly launched Laifen Swift 4 Hair Dryer and AutoCurl Curling Iron.
Chase Infiniti’s Brushed-Out Waves
For this look, I was inspired by the silhouette of Chase’s dress—from the heart-shaped neckline to the dress flaring out on the bottom, we wanted the waves to resemble her dress,” says Lacy Redway. “By brushing out her waves, we created a younger, cooler version of old Hollywood waves.” The ghd Wave created the gorgeous waves and texture and brushing it all out with the ghd Paddle Brush gave the look its unique finish.
Nicole Kidman’s Effortless Updo
Celebrity hairstylist Lorenzo Martin applied K18 AstroLift Reparative Volume Spray at the roots and K18 heat protectant from roots to ends before blow-drying Nicole Kidman’s hair. He then created soft texture with a curling iron and added AirWash Dry Shampoo for effortless movement. Her hair was gathered into a low ponytail, then twisted into the gorgeous low bun we saw on the red carpet.
